Hello everyone and happy new year.
When we set out to build Spark as a service we believed in the need to be unique and the need to drive growth in our local spaces, those spaces had one key factor which is electricity and it represented the ambiance of light. Our dream and vision were to drive that light to everyone that came on our page and to share that knowledge until every inch of Nigeria is lit up with people and places that sparkle.
We did that for 4 years and learned to evolve in the quest for producing quality content for our readers. In 2019 something snapped in me. I sat with the team and we decided that it was time to revolutionize the engine, we also did some introspection and it led us to understand that there is a lot to the Nigerian dream and the spirit that drives that dream. We realized that there is a light in every dark corner which sometimes we need to enable by holding it up so that it can be seen by more people.
On the 7th of February, 2020, we will be launching the new Spark, our electricity blog which was known as Sparkonline, will evolve to iSpark, a magazine that celebrates the spark in each of us, the spark that enables you and me to continue to thrive in these troubled times.
We will celebrate life, beauty, hard work, and the Nigerian spirit.
In our evolution, we will also not drop what has made us unique, Sparkonline will remain as an electricity blog in the magazine while we will introduce food, agriculture, money, and leadership as other segments that will spice up our new bouquet of content.
We welcome you to the new world of iSpark and wish you all of the sparks that 2020 has to offer.
